Accio Funko! New ‘Harry Potter’ Collectibles Go Viral as HBO Series Finally Unveils Its Brand-New Golden Trio

It’s time to head back to Platform ¾! The Wizarding World is currently taking over social media as fans navigate a whirlwind of nostalgia and “new-era” excitement.

Between a star-studded casting announcement for the highly anticipated HBO reboot and a viral new drop of collectibles, Potterheads have plenty to celebrate. Whether you grew up with the books in the ‘s or found the magic through the films, the franchise is proving once again that it never truly stays quiet.

The buzz reached a fever pitch this week as Funko unveiled a brand-new range of Harry Potter Pops! on X (formerly Twitter). The collection is the perfect tribute to the original saga led by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, and fans are already calling it a “must-have.”

The new lineup features some truly deep-cut moments. Fans can snag an accurate depiction of Harry with the purple triple-decker Knight Bus, a battle-ready Hermione with her wand at the ready, and Albus Dumbledore accompanied by his majestic phoenix, Fawkes.

The collection also includes fan-favorite Luna Lovegood, a “very antique-looking” Dark Mark figurine, and—perhaps the most hilarious addition—Professor Horace Slughorn disguised as an armchair. Each vinyl figure stands approximately inches tall and is already sparking a shopping frenzy online.

While fans are busy expanding their shelves, the internet is also melting down over the first official look at the “new” Golden Trio for the HBO series.

The reboot, which is currently filming its first two seasons back-to-back in England, has finally found its leading stars. Taking over the iconic role of Harry Potter is young actor Dominic McLaughlin. Joining him are Arabella Stanton as the new Hermione Granger and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.

The series’ showrunner, Francesca Gardiner, and director Mark Mylod couldn’t hide their excitement about the new stars.

“After an extraordinary search… we are delighted to announce we have found our Harry, Hermione, and Ron,” they shared in a joint statement. “The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen.”

They also expressed their gratitude to the “tens of thousands” of children who auditioned for the life-changing roles.

But the new kids aren’t the only ones moving into the castle. The adult cast is shaping up to be legendary, with John Lithgow stepping into the robes of Albus Dumbledore and Janet McTeer taking on the role of Professor Minerva McGonagall.

Other high-profile additions include Paapa Essiedu as the brooding Severus Snape and Nick Frost as the lovable groundskeeper, Rubeus Hagrid. Rounding out the ensemble are Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy, Paul Whitehouse as Argus Filch, and Lox Pratt as the sneering Draco Malfoy.

The HBO series aims to cover one book per season, promising a much deeper dive into the source material than the original films could provide.

While we have to wait until for the series to debut, you can keep the magic alive right now by grabbing the latest Funko release. After all, you can never have too many versions of the “Boy Who Lived” on your desk!
